well it looks like the repair job is dry, so we lowered the dinghy into the water and
it still leaks, but not as bad
Joe and I headed back to MOW, to meet up with Te Amor, Janice and Cam from Nova Scotia, they have just returned from Cuba
A'int Miss Behaven is here also …. Helen has company on board, so she puts up a tent in
top of the boat for her to sleep in
Helen says that at 20 knots the tent begins to flap and at 25 knots it folds down on top of her
she is one of a kind, funny, beautiful woman

Joe and I stopped in to Every Child Counts School (ECC),
to buy some home made soap and we got a tour of inside the school

another forest fire close to our anchorage
it is time to make plans to cross the Whale, to get to the northern part of the Abaco
we have extra groceries, fuel and spirits …. we sailed north and staged our self
close to the Whale, we where waiting on high tide to passage thru Don't Rock, but once we got there the swells where to big and it wouldn't be safe
….. Te Amour was going on the outside of the Whale so they gave us hour by hour ocean conditions,
and it turned out that every part of the crossing was good, the wind was 15-20 knots SE,
ocean swells 5-6 ft every 11 seconds
and we made it safely… what a relief, if we didn't cross today it would be another 1 1/2 weeks
before the conditions where right again
and there are fires on this side also
we anchored in White Sound, the holding is not that good, but we did manage to settle
we had a great supper prepared and at
7pm about 7 boats on the one side of the harbour was
asked to relocate because a 200 ft fuel boat was coming in at
3am … so we hauled anchor and moved … we took the Looky Bucket over
our anchor and it was set, there is a lot of turtle grass in here, and that is not good
the forest fires have made a very red sunset tonight
at 10:30 a squall hit the harbour .. Joe spent the rest of the night on anchor watch
Te Amore was anchored out side the harbour and they dragged
